RCMP in Sheshatshiu have arrested a 29-year-old woman on drug charges following a traffic stop in Labrador.

Police pulled a vehicle over on the North West River Road around 4:30 on Saturday.

A passenger in the vehicle was arrested and a quantity of cash, cocaine and items consistent with drug trafficking were seized.

Eliza Gregoire is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine and, and is set to appear in court at a later date.

The investigation continues.

Meanwhile, the driver was ticketed for driving without a valid licence and for failing produce proof of insurance. The vehicle was seized and impounded.
