The finance minister is providing an update today on the province’s fiscal status heading in to 2025.
Siobhan Coady will deliver the fall fiscal update at Confederation Building at noon.
When the 2024 budget was delivered in March, the province was predicting a deficit of $152-million for this year, with a net-debt of $17.8-billion.
Revenue was projected to be $10.3-billion for the year, with expenditures slightly above that, at $10.4-billion.
Premier Andrew Furey would not tip his hand as to what the update will bring when questioned by reporters yesterday.
“Stay tuned,” says the Premier.
