Who will lead the United States for the next four years will be decided tomorrow in the US presidential election.
The campaign trail has been a hotly contested one between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris and incredibly divisive for the American electorate.
Premier Andrew Furey, who called out Canadian politics last week, taking pages out of the “Trump playbook,” says the election outcome is a “shared concern” across all Canadian jurisdictions.
Regardless of the outcome, Furey concludes that a “team Canada approach” is needed for whichever administration is successful.

Furey says that is particularly important to Newfoundland and Labrador when talking about natural resources.
He says American politicians don’t understand the Canadian Constitution and how provinces govern their resources, which is different than the United States. Furey says that’s why a united front is needed to make sure their message is heard.
