A young boy who recently saw the community rally around him has passed away.
Jake Anstey was an active 11-year-old when a cardiac arrest changed everything. Anstey suffered severe brain damage, and had to use a wheelchair to get around.
His mother made an appeal for better and more reliable accessible transport in Paradise, and the community responded.
Bursey’s Bus Service and Get Messy NL stepped up in September, providing the family with a wheelchair accessible van.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, Hamilton Avenue in St. John’s, with the funeral service to take place at the Salvation Army Temple on Torbay Road on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m.
