A St. John’s immigration Lawyer says she’s been fielding calls from Americans looking to get out of town following the U.S. election.
Megan Felt says that leading up to and after the election, it has been like “Deja Vu,” saying she received similar calls in 2016.
This comes just days after U.S. President Donald Trump was re-elected as President after being impeached in 2021.
“I have seen an uptick in the weeks and months leading up to the election and definitely seen a pretty significant rise since the election as well, just in the last few days,” she said
As for how many people do go through with it, Felt says that it’s roughly 50 per cent.
