The provincial government has once again issued a Request for Proposals for the development of the old Trinity Loop amusement park site.
The former theme park was a big draw for tourists and young families, but closed in 2004 and has since become an attraction for urban explorers.
The park was developed around a unique feature of the Newfoundland railway. The steep grade of surrounding hills required the train to loop around in a circle.
The province originally issued a request for proposals back in January of 2023.
The province says proposals will only be accepted for tourism-related establishments, like RV parks, resorts, campgrounds, cottage rentals or other tourist attractions.
Government says proposals will be accepted until a successful candidate is identified.
