The State of Emergency remains in place in a portion of Paradise affected by problems at the waste water lift station 10.
Mayor Dan Bobbett admits the situation is frustrating and he apologizes to residents dealing with the noise and inconvenience of pumper trucks at the site.
Residents in the affected portion of the town are still being asked to help limit the amount of waste water that passes through the lift station by reducing the use of dishwashers and laundry machines as well as limiting the number of times they flush the toilet.
Bobbett says weather conditions on the Gulf has delayed the delivery of replacement equipment, thereby delaying repairs.
He says once the pumps arrive and a bypass is in place, the State of Emergency can be lifted.
The intersection of Topsail Road and St. Thomas Line remains closed with traffic diversions in place.
