The town of Clarenville will have a new wheelchair accessible bus on the road early in the new year.

The bus, to be operated by Clarenville Region Extended Seniors Transportation, will provide low cost, on-demand transportation for seniors and people with disabilities and restricted mobility.

The bus will make it easier for people to attend appointments, do their shopping or attend social activities.

Purchase of the vehicle was made possible through $208,000 from the federal government and $52,000 from the Town of Clarenville.
