The provincial government has received extra help with its immigration targets thanks to Prince Edward Island.
Last month, this province revealed that they were nearing their limit of 3,050 spaces for the year, as allocated by Ottawa.
Minister Sarah Stoodley told reporters yesterday that PEI has given Newfoundland and Labrador 100 spots that they weren’t going to use.
Stoodley says that gesture has been given the green light by the federal government. She hints that other similar deals may be on the horizon.
