Rural parts of the province are perhaps hardest hit by the current postal strike.

Municipalities NL says rural regions don’t always have access to the same variety of delivery options and must rely on Canada Post.

President Amy Coady says she’s already seeing an impact in the community, and that includes some residents’ ability to receive and pay bills.

She points to less than reliable internet access as one aggravating factor that leaves many rural residents and businesses more reliant on Canada Post services than areas where options are more reliable.
