Minister Steve Crocker says tourism numbers for the province in the 2024 summer season bounced back to surpass pre-pandemic levels.
The minister made the announcement in the House of Assembly yesterday.
“This was a pivotal year for Newfoundland and Labrador,” Crocker told the House, “and we have officially reached recovery in terms of surpassing the pre-pandemic visitation numbers. In 2024, notable air service has increased significantly with a 21 per cent capacity boost compared to 2023. In-bound non-stop air capacity numbers have consistently surpassed 2019 levels for several months now.”
