Bay St. George RCMP are looking for information after two fire hydrants were tampered with in Stephenville.

Police say the first incident happened overnight on Monday. A hydrant was turned on sometime overnight on Utah Drive, resulting in a significant amount of water being lost and damage to a property.

Then, on Thursday morning a similar report was received regarding a hydrant on Connecticut Drive, once again leading to the loss of a substantial amount of water.

The RCMP say both instances impacted public safety and fire response.
