Artist renderings for a new permanent tribute to Olympic gold medalists and Brier curling champions Team Gushue have been released and a fundraising campaign is now underway to make it a reality.
The monument will be located at a new multiplex and curling facility in Galway.
DewCor CEO Danny Williams is kicking off the Curling NL fundraising effort with a $100,000 contribution.
The monument, created by sculptor Morgan MacDonald, will feature likenesses of Brad Gushue and Mark Nichols and representation of those who have helped form the team over the years.
It will include a plaque inscribed with the names of all team members, past and present.
