The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has arrested a young boy in connection with two violent attacks in Mount Pearl Friday.
A group of young people allegedly attacked a man with a baseball bat near Morris Academy around 5:30 p.m.
Shortly after, a second man was attacked by the same group on Roosevelt Avenue.
Both victims were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police have arrested one young person on several charges, including aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, and disguise with intent.
Police say the charges are connected to one of the two incidents, and further charges and arrests are expected.
Police believe there are witnesses or individuals with knowledge of the attacks and are urging them to come forward.
