The capital city has reached a new collective agreement with the International Association of Firefighters local 1075.
The deal is retroactive to January 1, 2023, and goes up to New Year’s Eve 2026.
It includes a wage increase of seven per cent over four years, and also includes some new language, which the city says will enhance operations between St. John’s Regional and the union.
The new agreement was ratified at yesterday’s city council meeting.
