The last of the five people convicted in a near-fatal attack outside PWC high school last year has been sentenced.
Tyler Greening, who was 18 at the time of the shocking, lunchtime assault, was sentenced this afternoon to 20 months’ house arrest, plus one year of probation.
He was the getaway driver and the only one of the five considered an adult in the eyes of the law at the time of the attack on March 9, 2023.
Greening must also follow a slew of conditions, including not to have contact with anyone involved in the attack or impacted by it.
The other four male teens who carried out the assault with an axe, baseball bat and a pick, have already received sentences ranging from 18-24 months at the youth correctional centre in Whitbourne.
Police initially laid attempted murder charges in the case, but they were later reduced to aggravated assault.
Greening’s sentencing occurred late this afternoon in provincial court, and VOCM will have more details as they become available.
