St. John’s is the first and only Canadian destination to be featured on the American TV cooking series A Taste of History.

The series, which has been broadcasting on PBS for the last 14 years, is hosted by chef Walter Staib, who travels the world visiting historic and exotic locales and famous kitchens.

The St. John’s episode features a number of local businesses, and the series has a reach of more than 115 million potential viewers in major US markets.

The producers worked with Destination St. John’s, which premiered the show at its annual Fall Partner Day on Thursday.
