A 23-year-old man is facing impaired driving charges after a hit and run in the capital city’s east end.
Police were called about an accident on Portugal Cove Road over the lunch hour yesterday. One of the vehicles involved had taken off before RNC arrived, but officers tracked it down in Torbay later that afternoon.
The driver, who was believed to be over the legal limit, is now facing charges of impaired driving and refusual.
He was released to appear in court at a later date.
