Stella’s Circle is ushering in the Christmas season with its annual Lighting up Hope ceremony in St. John’s this evening.
The lighting of the big Hope sign coincides with Giving Tuesday, a time when charities and social organizations try to highlight the work they do and encourage people to think about a charitable gift or donation.
This year’s Lighting up Hope event is the first live in-person event since it was launched in 2019, and Lead Executive Officer Laura Winters says they’re very excited.
It’s also serving as a fundraising initiative on Giving Tuesday.
Lighting Up Hope takes place from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. next to Holy Heart High School.
