Mount Pearl native Brad Gushue says it was a “disappointing’ end to the week following a quarter-final loss at the Grand Slam of Curling at the Mary Browns Centre.
He said the team simply “didn’t have it,” saying that the team is going to revisit what went wrong.
He told Greg Smith on VOCM’s Tim Powers Show that the silver lining in the event for him was the crowd.
Gushue says that the crowd’s intensity made it a favourite among his club and other curlers.
He says despite online flak, other curlers enjoyed seeing the crowd booing and cheering
Thanks you St. John’s! What an amazing week. Appreciate the support of our team and you made it an incredible week for all the athletes. Wish every event could be like this! 👏🏼
