Caribou are on the move across the island, prompting an advisory from wildlife officials to keep an eye out for the migratory animals.
A greater number of caribou have been reported along the Buchans highway between Badger and Buchans and on the Trans Canada about five km east of the Burgeo Highway turnoff.
Herds have also been reported on the move on the Northern Peninsula near St. Anthony.
The animals typically move about in the early winter and late spring between their wintering and calving grounds.
