The NDP is calling on the provincial government to raise the minimum wage to $20 an hour.
The call comes nearly eight months since the province increased the minimum wage by 60 cents to $15.60.

Among election-style promises put to the public over the weekend, the province’s third party vowed to make minimum wage increases based on inflation each year.
The highest minimum wage in Canada is currently $19 per hour in Nunavut.
