An investigation is underway after Sheshatshiu RCMP conducted a check on a driver who was unresponsive in an idling vehicle on the side of the road.
Police say the driver showed signs of drug impairment when roused, and was allegedly in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
He was arrested and taken to hospital in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, where blood samples were taken.
The investigation continues.
