A local business owner is one of many across the country who are scrambling to put announced GST relief in place by tomorrow.

Peg Norman of The Travel Bug in downtown St. John’s says while she’s pleased with the measure, the job for her and her staff is trying to figure out what items are eligible without running afoul of auditors sometime down the road.

“We’ve been a couple of days now walking through the store and looking at individual items, trying to make decisions…because there’s been very little direction from the federal government on this,” says Norman. “Every day I go back into the Government of Canada website and look and see if they’ve done any updates, and as of Tuesday, there still wasn’t anything.”
