A 30-year-old man has appeared in court on a series of charges related to an attack at the Waterford Hospital that left a fellow patient with life-threatening injuries.
Thomas Parsley appeared in court this morning on charges of attempted murder and assault with a weapon as the 66-year-old victim clings to life in hospital.
The two men were patients at the Waterford at the time of the attack last night.
Parsley has been sent back to the Waterford for a psychiatric assessment and is scheduled to return to court on Monday.
