The environment minister has approved the final environmental impact statement guidelines for a proposed biomedical waste incineration project near Lewisporte.

Paul Dalley Holdings is proposing to collect, transport and store biomedical waste at a facility to be built on Roebotham Street.

It’s proposed that the facility will incinerate some 450 to 500 tonnes of biomedical waste annually from the health authority.
