Members of the local Jewish community will gather today for a public Menorah Lighting to mark Hanukkah.
Today’s event is one of more than 15,000 public menorah lightings around the world, including outside the White House, the Eiffel Tower, the Great Wall of China and the Brandenburg Gate.
Today’s ceremony at the Viking Building on Crosbie Road will feature a menorah lighting, local entertainment, fireworks and free hot drinks and donuts.
It gets underway at 4:00 p.m.
