The provincial government says over 129,000 activation codes have been sent out for people to access their digital health records, with some 105,000 individual accounts being created so far.

The provincial government launched MyHealthNL earlier this year as a means to give people easier access to their personal health information, including some test results.

Health Minister John Hogan says he has been hearing positive feedback about the system.

Hogan calls it a “key component of the digitization of the healthcare system.” He notes that before there was a “broken system” where doctors who was people in Western Health would not have known the prescriptions someone was given in Eastern Health.
