A man has been charged with impaired after police found him conked out behind the wheel in Mount Pearl during the wee hours.
Officers received a tip that a man had passed out in the driver’s seat of a car parked at a business just after midnight.
He was taken to RNC Headquarters where he provided two failed breath tests.
The 30-year-old was released to appear on a charge of impaired driving. His vehicle was impounded.

That was just one of a few impaired drivers taken off the road by RNC during a 24-hour-span.
Police were tipped off about a possible impaired driver in the capital city’s west end around 9 a.m.
When officers tracked down the vehicle, they immediately laid eyes on open liquor inside.
The 63-year-old man, who was prohibited from driving in the first place, was taken to the detachment where he failed two breath tests.
He was charged with impaired and driving while prohibited. He was also issued several tickets.
