A joint RNC/RCMP operation has resulted in another seizure of weapons and drugs in the capital city.

The investigation focused on illegal weapons and drug trafficking activity on Salisbury Street in the Rabbittown area of St. John’s.

A search of a residence on Dec. 20 resulted in the arrest of three men, who were later released with charges pending.

The items seized include a shotgun, .22-caliber rifle, multiple airsoft guns, a machete, more than 600 grams of the drug MDMA, over four ounces of cocaine, illicit cannabis, hash and LSD.

Hundreds of cartons of contraband cigarettes were also seized, as well as Percocet pills, various other prescription drugs and cash.
