A Kenmount Terrace family is complete once again after being reunited with their dog, one of a number that ran away New Year’s Eve after getting spooked by the fireworks.

Alejandra Higdon says they were beside themselves when Skyler took off, but thanks to the help of dozens of volunteers the golden retriever was reunited with her family this morning.

Higdon says she couldn’t be happier that Skyler was located in the area of Thorburn Road.

“To all St. John’s, to all the community here in Kenmount Terrace, they were so amazing,” says Higdon. “I am so grateful,” she says “this is the best present of Christmas, new year’s, all the Holy days!”
