A man with a heavy foot is facing several charges after a hit and run in the centre city.

RNC were called after a Honda Civic, which was being driven erratically, smashed into another car just after 10:30 yesterday morning.

The heavily damaged vehicle was located in the downtown area not long after and the 31-year-old driver was arrested.

He’s facing charges of failing to remain at the scene of an accident, driving without due care and attention, and resisting arrest.

He was taken to the lockup. His vehicle was impounded.
