A man and woman were arrested in Kippens this week for allegedly driving a stolen vehicle.
Bay St. George RCMP noticed that the SUV they were operating had a licence plate attached that did not belong to the vehicle.
Subsequent investigation showed that the SUV in question had been reported stolen from Deer Lake on Jan. 2nd.
The man and woman bolted from the scene but were arrested a short distance away.
The 25-year-old man was charged with possession of stolen property and possession of a prohibited weapon.
The 26-year-old woman is facing charges of possession of stolen property and failure to comply with the condition of an undertaking.
They were released from custody with future court dates.
