A woman was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Empire Avenue and Hamel Street in St. John’s over the supper hour yesterday while she was in a crosswalk.
She was not injured, but RNC say the vehicle involved was driven to the police station only because a witness at the scene physically confronted the driver.
The 75-year-old man who was behind the wheel has been cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, and a 33-year-old man has been charged with uttering threats and mischief. His involvement in the situation is unclear.
