Environment Canada’s Gander weather office has ended its wave warning along the northeast coast of the island.
Wave heights in St. John’s Harbour reached 5.4 meters early Sunday morning, and things peaked at just 20 cm above the highest astronomical tide.
The weather service issued the warning yesterday afternoon, just a week after a storm brought pounding waves and winds up to 120 km/h.
