The parent union of the Iron Workers Local 764 on Sagona Avenue in Donovan’s Industrial Park has taken over the operations of the local, ordering staff to surrender the books, keys, funds and documents.
It’s unclear what led to the emergency order from the international bosses, but the imposition of trusteeship by the international Association is a drastic measure.
The U-S based parent organization says the measure is designed to protect the membership.
