A tech company has received a funding boost from the province to improve software aimed at making it easier to follow health and safety protocols on the job site.
Mavin Industrial has received $186,000 to help bolster its OPAS Mobile software.
The platform helps digitize environmental and health and safety processes and forms for industrial clients and helps them comply with health and safety regulations.
The funding will be used to hire two new employees who will help enhance the platform’s AI capabilities.
Through this, the company hopes to make “substantial changes to jobsite safety,” including the use of AI and Machine Learning to flag potential safety issues.
