The Canadian Real Estate Association has released its fourth quarter results for housing prices in St. John’s.
The data dates back to November, with the average price of a home estimated to be in the range of $250,000.
That marks a roughly 10 per cent increase from 2023, when prices were about $226,000. The average price increase across Canada was at nearly two per cent.
Across the country, the number of homes sold compared to this time last year jumped by almost 20 per cent.
The real estate association expects a “significant unleashing of demand across the country in the spring of 2025.”
