Police weren’t sure what they were going face after they were called to a home in Mount Pearl yesterday evening.
A call for assistance came into 911 over the supper hour, except dispatchers weren’t sure what was going on.
When officers arrived, they found a woman had been injured by a man who had ventured outside the capital city.
The RCMP were called in to arrest the man, who was then brought back to St. John’s to spend the night in the lockup.
He’ll appear in court this morning on a charge of assault.
