The Minister of Health is pleased with the appointment of Dr. Pat Parfrey as CEO of NL Health Services.
Parfrey is one of the architects of the NL Health Accord and was the former Deputy Minister of Health Transformation.
Minister John Hogan is thanking interim CEO Karen Stone for her work and expertise.

Some physicians are encouraged by Parfrey’s appointment, and Hogan says Parfey’s experience will allow for a smooth transition.
“Certainly when I spoke to he board chair as well, we had that same conversation that someone who understands what it means to be a physician, what it means to deliver that health care to patients, and maybe the struggle to have the ability to provide it…I think goes a long way,” says Hogan.
