Confederation Building will be bathed in green light today to mark the National Day of Remembrance of the Quebec City Mosque Attack, and Action Against Islamophobia.
A gunman entered the Islamic Cultural Centre on this date eight years ago, and shot and killed six men, and sending many more to hospital with injuries.
Green is a color linked to the Islamic faith, symbolizing remembrance and solidarity. Residents can also wear green, or a green square which represents the green carpets on which the victims were praying at the time of the attack.
