Parts of the Avalon, central and the south coast are waking up to a taste of old man winter.
Drifting snow has made for poor driving conditions from Gander to Clarenville and on the Burin Peninsula, prompting school delays & closures throughout those areas.
Environment Canada meteorologist Ali Jalali says official snowfall amounts range between 10 to 15 cm since last night.
The northeast coast can expect another 5 cm of snow this morning through to this evening.
There will be a break this morning on the Avalon and Burin Peninsula, but another dusting of snow is expected later today as temperatures dip below the freezing mark.
Another band of snow will pass through later this afternoon, bringing roughly 2 to 4 cm, which will wrap up around midnight.
