Workers at Vale’s Long Harbour processing plant have voted in favour of joining the United Steelworkers’ Union.
The facility employs some 280 workers in refining nickel, cobalt and copper mined at the Voisey’s Bay site in Labrador.
The union had already represented some 1,100 workers at Voisey’s Bay.
Join us in welcoming our 280 new #USW siblings, the workers of Vale Long Harbour, who refine nickel, cobalt, and copper from Vale’s Voisey’s Bay operations. These new members will join USW Local 9508.
