The return of the Brier to St. John’s will be a significant economic boost to the capital city.
That’s according to St. John’s Mayor Danny Breen who was among those on hand for the announcement yesterday at Montana’s—the sponsor of the 2026 Brier.
Breen says the 2017 event was a huge success and resulted in a $12 million boost to the city. He expects next year’s event will prove similarly successful.
He says with the Brier, QMJHL, basketball and other events, he’s excited to see a busy Mary Brown’s Centre.
