Health Minister John Hogan says government accepts the recently released report into long-term care and personal care homes in the province.
The long-awaited report was released publicly on Wednesday, with Hogan clarifying that while a draft version had been floating around between the department and the panel for a little while, they did not receive the final version until January 20.
He says there is nothing “overly surprising” in the report, noting that he is happy that the panel has given them a five-year roadmap to implement the recommendations.
Hogan says they are aware and have been working on some of the issues that are mentioned, and will continue to work on everything that is mentioned.
