The number of people availing of the province’s shelter system this winter has increased by about 100 compared to last year.
That’s according to housing minister John Abbott.

Abbott says that number is in line with what has been reported publicly.
He says the number has stabilized over the last few months to roughly 400 people using shelters across the province.
