The U.S. Coast Guard has released a haunting audio recording of what could be the sound of the implosion that destroyed the ill-fated Titan submersible.
An acoustic recorder operated by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and moored about 900 nautical miles from the site of the Titanic, captured the sound at around 9:34 a.m. Eastern time on June 18, 2023.

It was approximately 90 minutes after the Titan started it’s dive to the Titanic wreck site with five souls on board.
The U.S. Coast Guard says the recording equipment appears to have captured the “suspected acoustic signature” of the implosion.
The disaster claimed the lives of OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, French explorer and navigator Paul-Henri Nargeolet, British philanthropist Hamish Harding and Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his 19-year-old son Suleman.
