There were no injuries in a house fire in Mount Pearl last night.
Emergency crews responded to Pumphrey Avenue around 8:30 p.m.
RNC say while the fire was contained to the home’s basement, smoke and water damage was extensive.
The occupants managed to escape without injuries and police say adjoining properties were evacuated as a precaution.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
