A man is in custody after a dramatic arrest in the west end of St. John’s yesterday morning.

The RNC were called at about 4:00 in the morning and arrived at a business to find a man still inside the building.

As they approached, he took off on foot. Police chased him down and arrested the 37-year-old on charges of break and enter, resisting arrest, assault with a weapon, theft under $5000 and breach of probation.

He appeared in court yesterday.
