A man is facing a list of charges for allegedly breaking into a restaurant on Freshwater Road in St. John’s over the weekend.
The RNC were first called to the scene just after 4:30 Saturday morning.
When police arrived, they noticed the suspect fleeing the scene on foot. He was arrested a short time later.
The accused, 37-year-old Anthony Farrell, is facing numerous charges, including break and enter, possession of a break-in instrument, disguise with intent, theft under $5,000, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, two counts of assaulting a police officer with a weapon, resisting arrest, and two counts of breach of probation.
He was held for court.
